Campus Accommodation

Temporary accommodation solutions at the Trento University Campus can be arranged with the support of the FBK Welcome Office.

Given the high number of requests, our policy is to accommodate the new incomers for the first two-three months of their stay in Trento in order to allow them to look for private accommodation.

The University Campus provides students and researchers with accommodation solutions at San Bartolameo Residence: furnished single rooms with en-suite bathroom. Located in the southern part of the city and easily reachable by bus (line A, 3, 8). The main Campus, counting more than 800 beds, is provided with a common kitchen every 18 students, launderette, internet connection in each room. There is a Cafeteria, a reception as well as reading-rooms and many other common spaces. The fee includes electricity, water, heating, blankets and pillows, bed and bath linen (that is washed three times a month) and the cleaning of the common spaces.

The Opera Universitaria monthly rates vary according to the user status and accommodation solution:

  • Students: €270.00 for a shared double room; €330.00 for a single room;
  • Post-docs, faculty members, researchers: € 325.00 for a shared double room; €385.00 for a single bedroom.

For further information about accommodation, please visit the Trento Tourist board website.

Off Campus Accommodation

Researchers are encouraged to look for an off-campus flat or house owned by a private landlord, particularly if they are bringing their family with them. It is a good idea to sort out accommodation before arriving at FBK, when possible.

There are many ways to find accommodation off campus, including Real Estate Agents in Trento and housing options websites, such as:

Cost of Off Campus Accommodation: Off campus rental costs can vary widely. You should expect to pay on average € 250-300 plus water, heating, electricity and internet connection bills per person per month for a room in a shared house. You should be prepared to pay a deposit (often in the amount of 3 month’s worth of rent). Most contracts for privately rented housing have a duration of 4 years.

Real estate agencies apply a one-month rent fee for their services.
